RecentChanges?
@APaskulin (WMF) can I suggest adding back the link to recent changes? Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 14:29, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion, @DannyS712! I think this is a valid point. I'll think about how to include this, and get back to you soon. --APaskulin (WMF) (talk) 19:45, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- @APaskulin (WMF) any updates? --DannyS712 (talk) 17:35, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- I've gone ahead and added recent changes under "Community" for now, since the site is now public and a recent changes link is generally expected in the sidebar DannyS712 (talk) 19:14, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- @DannyS712 Can you change the "community" dropdown item uppercase? It looks out-of-place as lowercase. Majavah (talk!) 13:18, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi @DannyS712, thanks for following up on this. For now, I don't think we need the Recent Changes link in the Community dropdown. I definitely agree that the link is important, so I've added a button to Community/Contributing. Since we have a limited number of editors at this time, I don't think we need to highlight Recent Changes in the same way that we usually do in the sidebar. Although this is a departure from the standard Vector-style sidebar, I'd like to keep the primary navigation elements focused on the needs of most readers and provide a portal for contributor resources through the dedicated Community/Contributing page. - "Since we have a limited number of editors at this time" - since the public launch there are more editors, and ever readers might find it useful to see recently updated documentation - I'm sure someone will ask that it be added back at some point DannyS712 (talk) 02:07, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
